I imagine most people have had a “lost coin” experience as described beginning in Luke 15:8
Imagine a woman who has ten coins and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and scour the house, looking in every nook and cranny until she finds it? And when she finds it you can be sure she’ll call her friends and neighbors: ‘Celebrate with me! I found my lost coin!’
Well, I have managed to have the euphoria of losing and finding a lost item twice within a week.
I found something I had lost (and what I lost isn't that important) of great sentimental value and never expected to find again. We used Scotch tape to secure the item because it is so small.
And then after I found it, I discovered on Saturday that I had lost it again. I searched high and low without success, and gave up any hope ever finding it.
But then this morning, I did find it in a very unusual place! The Scotch tape was stuck to my rear end.
It is now safe in an envelope held fast to a metal cabinet with a strong magnet. I don't believe it will be lost again...
And I am feeling in a rather celebratory mood!
